Yin Yoga is a slow, quiet, intentional and meditative practice – designed to help us feel into our bodies. Most of the poses are focused on lengthening the connective tissue surrounding the hip joints, hamstrings, quadriceps, and lower back.
Restorative Yoga is a practice of deep relaxation, bringing the yogin into a healing and recuperative experience. This experience promotes a shift of the nervous system from a sympathetic state to a parasympathetic state.
Both styles of Yoga utilize bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to facilitate staying in the postures for longer.
